Notes	The Monroe County Mail, Fairport, New YHork, September 25, 1913 Death of Aged Resident Jonathan Bass, an old resident of Webster, died at 6 o'clock, Tuesday morning, after a week's illness, aged ninety-five years. He was born in Northville, Fulton county, August 2, 1819. In early manhood he went to Huntington, Lincoln county, Ohio, where he settled on a farm which was then unbroken wilderness, and there remained until, in the early sixties he came to Webster to care for his father-in-law, Samuel Hagedorn. He has since resided on the same farm, one mile west of the village. Since last April he has been totally blind, an especially, great affliction for him as he had always been a constant reader of the papers. He retained his mental faculties in a marked degree and loved the society and companionship of others. In his death the town loses one of its oldest residents and the last one that remained on the Ridge between the two villages. He leaves one son, James Bass of this village, and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Smith of Webster, and Miss Charlotte Bass of Springville, N. Y., and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held from his late home this afternoon, Rev. Joseph Weston officiating.
