March 23, 2016 Funeral services for Frances Ruth Bass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville with Reverend Lloyd Bye officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Gardens, Pollock under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Frances Ruth Bass, age 87 of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Lasalle Nursing Home, Jena. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Bass; her sons, Jerry Bass, Glen Bass and Darrell Bass; her parents, Chester and Ruth Morehead; her brother, Chester R. Morehead; and one grandchild, Jay Bass. Frances was a native of Harrisonburg, Louisiana. She was retired from the Rapides Parish School Board where she worked in special education for over thirty years. She was also a former election commissioner for Rapides Parish. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. In her leisure time, Frances loved raising her garden. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her daughters, Linda Savage (Don) of Tioga and JoAnn Mozisek (Robert) of Bulverde, Texas; son, Chester Leroy Bass (Sue) of Pineville; sisters, Mildred Poole of Jena, Peggy Richey of Rhinehart, Dorothy Watts of Woodsworth, Billie Miller of Harrisonburg and Ann Nugent of Aimwell; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until time of the service.
