Alma H. (Bass0 Signore
Alma H. (Bass) Signore, 94, the devoted wife of the late Stephen J. Signore, died peacefully January 17 at Birmingham Health Center in Derby. She was born on January 10, 1922, in Covington, Ky., and was a daughter of the late Amanda (Treiling) and Clarence Bass. Mrs. Signore was the mother to Joanne, a longtime employee of the Newtown School System.
Mrs. Signore worked as a stitcher at Uniroyal, Inc for 20 years. She was a member of the Mount Carmel Forever Young Society and the Prospect Senior Center. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing cards with friends, and trips to the casino.
In addition to her daughter Joanne and her husband Russ, her grandchildren Jason, Jessica, and her husband Clarence, Stephanie, and her husband Dan, Diane, and Dean survive Mrs. Signore. Her son Stephen P.; grandson Andrew; brothers Omer, Norbert, and Franklin ?Skeets?; and her sisters Louise, Mary Ellen, Ida Mae, Bernadina, and Virginia predeceased her.
The funeral took place January 20. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury.
