William Vernon Bass
William Vernon Bass of Morristown died Thursday, May 7, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. He was 79.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at Calvary Baptist Church, 10 Martin Luther King Ave., Morristown. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Morristown. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday at 11 a.m. for one hour prior to the service at Calvary Baptist Church, Morristown. Condolences may also be expressed at www.rowelanterman.com. Arrangements are by Rowe-Lanterman Home for Funerals, Morristown.
Born in Morristown on Jan. 22, 1930, Mr. Bass was the son of the late William and Alice (Tyler) Bass.
The husband of Carol (Wilson) Bass, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown, N.J.
Mr. Bass is survived by his wife; one daughter, Vernee (Ron) Jennings of Georgia; one son, Scott Bass of North Carolina; one brother, Robert (Eunice) Bass of New Jersey; one grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
