Woman Drops Dead At Church Meeting
Mrs. Myrtle Farmer, 63, Had Not Been Ill
Mrs. Myrtle Farmer, 63, died suddenly yesterday at the Concord Baptist Association meeting being held at the New Hope church near Marion. A resident of the Hickory Hill community for 40 years, Mrs. Farmer had not complained of
feeling ill recently. She had gone into the tent where the meeting was being
held and sat down on one of the benches. After a few minutes, she collapsed into the arms of a neighbor. Three doctors, present at the meeting, were unable to revive her. Mrs. Farmer was born at Ulman, June 20, 1876 and came to Hickory Hill about 40 years ago. She was married to Ed Farmer, who survives her along with a son, Clyde Farmer, one grandchild and two brothers, Charles and Clyde Bass of Ulman. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist church. Funeral services will be held at Hickory Hill tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock.
