John M. Bassett
John M. Bassett, Democratic nominee for Coroner and Public Administrator, has been a resident of Shasta County for twelve or fifteen years, much of which time he has been engaged in the hotel business. No man ever went away from Mr. Bassett?s hotel with an empty stomach whethe3r he had money to pay for it or not. Such is his reputation known to all his friends. Mr. Bassett will make a first-class official and ought to and will be elected.

Bassett Funeral in Anderson Today
The funeral of John M. Bassett will be held in Anderson, hos old home town, at 2 o?clock this afternoon, interment being made there in the Odd Fellows? cemetery. The funeral party will leave the Houston parlors in this city at 1 p.m. Mrs. R.J. Bauer, the decedent?s daughter, will arrive from Fresno this morning.

Bassett Funeral In Anderson Wednesday
The funeral of the late John Bassett will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o?clock at the Odd Fellows cemetery in Anderson. Persons desiring to attend the funeral will lave the Houston Undertaking parlors about 1 o?clock.

All Is Bequeathed To Two Daughters
Will Of The Late John M. Bassett is Filed For Probate
The last will of John M. Bassett, who was killed in the streets of Redding by an automobile accident on April 2, was filed for probate Monday by Edward S. Thompson of Kennett, the decedent?s son-in-law. He is named executor.
The will executed on June 30, 1917, and was witnessed by Stanley Jacox and A.M. Dick. The estate consists of cash, $416; personal property, $150, and houses and lots I Pine street, $2500. The will leaves all to his daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Thompson of Kennett and Mrs. Cora E. Gauer of Fresno, share and share alike.
The petition for letters testamentary will come up in the superior court on April 29.

Entire Estate To The Two Daughters
Edgar S. Thompson presented his final account as administrator of his father-in-law, the late John M. Bassett, to the superior court Friday morning. The account was allowed and the estate was ordered distributed, as provided in the will, to the two daughters ? Mrs. Edgar S. Thompson and Mrs. Cora Brauer. The estate was valued at $2100. The administrator made no charge for his services.
In this case the funeral expenses were paid in advance of the appointment of an administrator. Judge Herzinger said he wanted it understood for all time that funeral expenses must be administered on.
