Bessette, age 54, of 82 Prince Road, died Friday, August 26, 2011, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Deborah J. (Spahl) Bessette of Southbridge, two sons, Shawn Bessette and Travis Spahl, both of Southbridge; two daughters, Lisa Bessette of Southbridge and Wendy Spahl of Spencer; several brothers and sisters; four grandchildren. He was born in Hudson, NY, son of the late Richard and Helen J. (McKay) Bessette and lived in Dudley before moving to Southbridge three years ago. He was a truck driver having worked many years for Moser Farms of Rockville, CT. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:00 am in Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
