- DEATH OF HELEN E. BASSETT, 1888
Helen E., daughter of Alfred H. Bassett, died at her home on We
Housatonic street last evening at 7:30 o'clock. She has been ailing for a year
or more and has been confined to the home for the past three or four months
suffering from a complication of diseases. The immediate cause of her death
was heart failure.
Miss Bassett was 21 years old, and was formerly a pupil at the high
school. She was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew her, and her
numerous friends will learn of her early death with sincere grief. She was a
member of the South church and also of the young people's society of th
church.
The funeral will be held from the residence of her father, 41 West
Housatonic street, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
