  Notes	The Essex County Chronicle, England, Friday 30 May 1913 Death of Jr. John Bass The death occurred on Friday at Forest Rise, Walthamstow, of Mr. John Bass, managing director of Waterlow and Sons, Ltd., at the age of 75. The deceased had been connected with the firm for 52 years, and before he became managing director 18 years ago he held a seat on the Board> his term of office was marked by great extension of the business. Deceased was well known and highly esteemed in the City. The funeral took place at Chingford County Cemetery on Wednesday. Chelmsford Chronicle, England, Friday, 30 may 1913 Funeral Of Mr. John Bass The funeral of Mr. John Bass, whose death is reported on page 6, took place on Wednesday at Chingford Mount Cemetery, in the family vault. The Rev. M.H. Wetnall officiated, and at the conclusion the Dead march in ?Saul? was rendered on the organ by Mr. S. Pettit. The chief mourners were Mrs. Bass (the widow), Mr. H.J. Bass, (son), Mr. and Mrs. C. may (daughter and son-in-law). Others present included, Sir Philip H. Waterlow, Bart., chairman of Waterlow and Sons, Ltd., Mr. J. Kingston (brother-in-law), and Mrs. J.W.D. Bass (sister-in-law). There were many choice floral tributes.
