Born in Ludlow, March 30, 1892, he lived here many years. He worked for Ludlow Manufacturing Co. for 22 years and was a foreman at Monsanto Chemical Corp. for 30 years before retiring in 1958. He was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Corinne (Jodin) Bassett, a son, Roland of Springfield; a daughter, Mrs. Bernadette Bartlett of West Springfield; two brothers, Horace of Westfield and Lionel of Ludlow. The funeral will be Wednesday at the Ratell funeral home with a liturgy of Christian burial in St. Catherine of Sienna Church. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
