Gladys Songy Bass (Picture included)
WINNSBORO ? Funeral service for Gladys Songy Bass, 79, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Sion Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Rodney Foster. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
Mrs. Bass died on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Born in Edgard, LA, she was a daughter of the late Luke and Gladys Guidry Songy. She was a member of Sion Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gene Wesley Bass Sr.; five sons, Byron (Marla) Eusea, Darren Eusea, Wayde (Pam) Eusea, G. Wesley Bass, Jr. and J. Marion (Kim) Bass; one daughter Valerie (Edard) Bray; two brothers, Earl ?Spanky? (Becky) Songy and Leonard Songy; four sisters, Brenda Simon, Diana Jackson, Shirley (Camille) Perret and Gayle Songy; two sisters-in-law, Irene SOngy, and Joyce Pope Haizlip; eight grandchildren, Kristin, Tabitha, Lacy, Lyndon, Tiffany, Ryan, Aaron and Allyson; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Carroll Songy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gladys? memory to Sion Presbyterian Church, 116 W. Washington Street, Winnsboro SC 29180.
