James Allen Bassett
Son of Allan and Jean Bassett (deceased), age 69, of Winnetka, CA, born April 2, 1944 in Selfridge Field, MI, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at home. Jim was an Independent Insurance Claims Adjuster all his adult life and taught Metal Shop at Simi Valley Adult School in his earlier years and was a great mentor. Jim leaves behind his wife, Sylvia M. Bassett; daughters, Shea and Melissa; son, Brent; and granddaughter, Emily.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 4th, 10:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 18425 Ingomar in Reseda. Graveside services will be held in Ogden, UT for his final resting place with his parents and grandparents.
Jim was an intelligent man with a heart of gold and the gift of gab and will be missed by all who knew him.
