Mrs. Sandra Kay Paylor Bass, age 64, departed this life Monday, September 27, 2021 in Duke Regional Hospital in Durham. She was born in Durham, NC, one of triplets, on November 7, 1956. She lived in Person County and was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Roxboro.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph ?Pete? Bass; her parents, Fletcher and Christine Paylor; four brothers: Sterling Paylor, Larry Paylor, Ronnie Paylor and Donald Paylor (triplet); and a special nephew, Christopher Paylor.
She is survived by two sons: Terren Bass and Michael Bass, both of Roxboro; two sisters: Wanda Paylor (triplet) and Vicky Paylor, both of Roxboro; three brothers: Randy Paylor of Durham, NC and Ricky Paylor and Ernest Johnson, both of Roxboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Benjamin Green, Pastor of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, officiating and providing the eulogy.
Attendance at the service is limited to sixty individuals and guests are pre-determined by the family. Please check with the family before the day of the service to confirm that your name is on the guest list. Face masks and social distancing are required.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her sister, 414 Jones Street, Roxboro, NC 27573.
