EUGENE BASSETT
Eugene H. Bassett, 76, died Monday. He was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Eau Claire, Wis. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired truck driver for a concrete company, a 25-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of Teamsters Local 641. He is survived by his wife, Beulah of Las Vegas; sons, Dewey of Las Vegas and Randy DeMoe of Colfax, Wis.; daughters, Becky Menting of Tacoma, Wash., Barbara Ranney and Peggy Foulke, both of Las Vegas, Denise Bowers of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Diane Ellmers of Florissant, Colo.; sisters, Barbara Teasdale of Cuba City, Wis., and Margery Hamilton of Willmar, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:40 a.m. Thursday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home handled arrangements.

In memory of Eugene H. Bassett, 76. Eugene passed away September 2, 2002. He was born September 30, 1925 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He is an Army Veteran of World War II. He lived in Colorado Springs for 20 years as a truck driver, then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he retired. He is survived by his wife Beulah of Las Vegas; his son Dewey; his daughters Barbara Ranney and Peggy Foulke, of Las Vegas, Denise Bowers of Colorado Springs, and Diane Ellmers of Florissant, CO. He had 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He was buried at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. He was dearly loved, and will be dearly missed.
