      Heston F. Bass Jr.

Heston Fitzgerald Bass Jr. was born in Toledo, Ohio February 18, 1982 to Heston F. Bass Sr. and Vicki L. Ellis. He was received back into the arms of his Lord and Savior February 6, 2023 at the age of 40. Heston had many nicknames throughout his life among family and friends but was affectionately known as Babe and Boss. Born and raised in Toledo, he was a graduate of Edward D Libbey High School and soon after became employed with Walgreens Distribution Center where he was a beloved employee for 20+ years. Outside of Heston's hard work ethic and ability to make a friend anywhere, he was known as an avid sneakerhead since childhood. Specifically, Jordans. Babe kept his shoes in pristine shape, some of them being years old and still out the
box fresh. And if a new release was on the way he would be posted up with
laptops and phones finessing the que to snatch a pair before they sold out. It was rare he missed a release. Boss knew no boundary between friend and family. Once he said you were his people you were in. He had tons of cousins, brothers, and sisters from love vs blood. He was loyal to the soil, supporting his loved ones be it showing up for them or their kids, buying from their latest business move or passing the word that they could help you in some way. Babe spoke highly of all his friends showing a brotherly love that's rarely displayed among men. He was going to have a good time when they were together even if that meant he was worn out later, he lived every drop of life when he was with them. Babe was full of energy pacing back and forth was his version of standing still, if you had the pleasure, he wore a hole in your carpet at some point. He loved his family purely, loving you even when he didn't agree with you, checking in with a quick call or pop up at your house then taking off letting you know "I was just checking in". Making plans so he could announce "we locked in!". Making sure he harassed his siblings every time he saw them just for his own entertainment. When Boss was with his parents smiles and laughs were guaranteed, he has always been an adored son since he was a small child. But loved and protected more than any shoe he could ever buy is Erin, his little girl. The sun rose and set on her in his eyes. When they were together he kept that same on the go energy and Erin was right by his side. Just check lG or Facebook and there they were riding and singing just enjoying the world like` they were the only two in it.
Everything he did he did with her in mind, his focus to grind no matter how he was feeling. We can thank God for all the ways we will continue to see Boss in Erin. The love Heston has for Erin will surpass all time and space, this life and the next. And the Lord. Boss brought so many people to know the Lord, to learn to pray effectively and to build their faith. If you had the pleasure of seeing his many tattoos the majority were scriptures and words of faith. They were a blueprint to how he lived his life and kept going even when things were hard. He had strong faith but was a realist adopting the phrase, "Accept what God allows''. We take comfort jn knowing he knew the Lord and praised him during good and tough times. As a final testament to Heston's desire to help people and caring heart for others it was revealed he was an organ donor. Inspired by the gift of more time a kind soul once gave our family years ago with our grandma Rose. He never announced it, never felt the need to brag, just did what he thought was right in true Boss fashion. As a lasting blessing parts of him will live on in others. This is the man we will all miss forever. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Thomas Bass Sr., Norma Bass, Rose Ellis and Robert Ellis Sr. Uncles Thomas Bass Jr and Michael Lee. He leaves to cherish his memory adored daughter Erin Bass, mother Vicki (June) Smith, father Heston (Lynn) Bass Sr, sister Zione Bass, brothers Chris Ellis, Rashad Smith, June Smith Ill.
