  Notes	Find-a-Grave Obituary William Owen Bass William Owen Bass, 72 years old of Route 3, Van Buren, Arkansas, died unexpectedly Monday morning October 28, 1968. A native of Baxter County, Arkansas he was born August 14, 1896 to Taylor and Emma Young Bass and had been a resident of Van Buren, for many years. A veteran of World War One, he was a retired mail carrier, and served as Tax Assessor of Crawford County for several years. He was a member of The First Baptist church and Masonic Lodge No. 6, of which he was a past master, Western Arkansas Consistory, Royal Arch Masons and past dirict deputy Grand Master. Survivors are four brothers; and one sister. The funeral service was held in Ocker Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday with Bruce Cushman, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Gill Cemetery.
