Irving O. ?Pete? Crawford (1922-2018)
Irving O. "Pete" Crawford, 95, of Belvidere, IL passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in his home. Pete was born May 25, 1922, in DeKalb County, the son of AB and Katie (Bassett) Crawford. He married the love of his life, Dona A. Crawford on February 17, 1944, in Belvidere. Pete attended St. John's United Church of Christ in Belvidere. He was passionate about antique tractors, farming, listening to country music and in his earlier years, flying. Pete was a member of the Two Cylinder Club in Missouri. Pete was loved and will be missed by his children, Carol (John) Waggoner of Abliene, TX, Timothy (LaGena) Crawford of Janesville, WI, Nancy Stedman of Belvidere, Peter (Debra) Crawford of South Beloit, IL; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Pete is preceded in death by his wife; parents; grandsons, Travis Crawford, Robert Crawford; siblings, Donnally "Joe" Crawford, Darrell "Steve" Crawford, Alexander "Pug" Crawford and Angeline "Sis" Bates.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008, with Rev. Muriel Morley Jahn officiating.
