Carmen E. (Bessette) Male
PAWTUCKET -Carmen E. (Bessette) Malo, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the beautiful age of ninety two. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell J. Malo for sixty years. Bom in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (Carrignan) Bessette.
A lifelong resident of the city, Carmen resided within a one mile radius her entire life. She was a faithful communicant of St. Cecilia Church, Pawtucket, where she attended school and received all her sacraments. Carmen dedicated her life to raising her children and tending to the family home. She loved to crochet afghans and enjoyed doing crafts. Carmens spiritual presence and memories will continue in the hearts of all the lives she has touched.
She is survived by three children, Michael Malo and his wife, Kathleen, of Seekonk, MA Stephen Malo and his wife, Lisa, of Bristol and Patricia Aldrich of Rumford; four grandchildren, Gregory and his wife, Jessica, of Rehoboth, MA, Timothy and his fiancee, Meghan, of Swansea, MA, Benjamin and his fianc6e, Emily, of Worcester, MA and Eryn of Rumford; a great-grandchild, Tate, whose birth was a blessing to Carmen just a few months ago, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur Scott Bessette Her funeral will be held on Friday beginning with VISITATION from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. in WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church of St. John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave., Pawtucket Interment with her late husband will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Ave., Pawtucket.
