  Notes	Winston-Salem Journal, North Carolina, 31 October 2002 Margie Mae Bass Chilton MOUNT AIRY, NC ~ Mrs. Margie Mae Bass Chilton, 74, of Woodville Road died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Chilton was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Surry County to the late Emory and Bessie Beamer Johnson Bass. She was a member of Woodville Baptist Church. Mrs. Chilton was preceded in death by four brothers, Claude, Worth, Roy and Leonard Bass. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Woodville Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank Huffman and the Rev. Dale Bass. Mrs. Chilton will lie in state at the church 30 minutes before the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 this evening at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain.
