Melissa Ann Bass, age 38 of Temple, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018. She was born May 5, 1979 in Carroll County, daughter of Debbie Ellison Eldred and the late James Anthony Bass. She worked as a waitress for Huddle House for 13 years. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Annie Ruth Helton; and two aunts, Brenda Walker and Angela Bass Goddard. She is survived by her mother, Debbie Eldred of Temple; her children, Marc Anthony Bass and Maria Ayanna Bass both of Temple; sister, Beth Cosper; and brother, Landon Cosper; grandfather, Raiford Helton of Carrollton; uncle and aunt, Jeff and Deborah Helton of Carrollton; step-mother, Nan Cosper of Carrollton; and a host of cousins and friends. Memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the hour of service.
