  Notes	Daily Chronicle October 8, 2009 Berton Burnell Crawford (1923 - 2009) Berton Burnell Crawford, 85, of Genoa, Illinois, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Centegra Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. He was born December 3, 1923, in Ringwood, the son of Roy R. and Cecil Marie (Bassett) Crawford. Berton attended the Genoa High School and was a lifelong area resident. Berton and his family were farmers on their family farms in the DeKalb County area for many years. He also worked at Oster in Genoa for several years. He is survived by four brothers, Robert (Betty) Crawford, of Mosinee, Wisconsin, and Milburn (Eleanor) Crawford, Orval (Juanita) Crawford and Keith (Carol) Crawford, all of Genoa; two sisters, Juanita (Lester) Munk of Sycamore and Suzanne (Wesley) Leiseberg of Union; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Irene and Lotus; and two nephews. His memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 11, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5105 N. Union Road, Union, with Michael Zemon officiating.
