Death From Vertigo
David Bassett, an Aged Citizen of North Haven Found Dead in His Barn
David Bassett, about 60 years of age, was found dead late yesterday afternoon on the floor of the barn at what is known as the Jairus Brockett place in North Haven. He had been engaged in moving away hay in the loft of the barn during the afternoon and he fell to the floor where he was found dead. Mr. Bassett has for several years been the subject of attacks of vertigo and yesterday morning before going to work suffered a slight attack. It is supposed that the excessive heat in the hay loft caused him to become dizzy and that he fell to the barn floor and met his death. He leaves a wife who has been an invalid for 10 or more years.
