Wesley E. Bassett
BASSETT, Wesley E. - entered into rest February 9th in his San Bruno residence of complications from PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy). He was born in Grafton, NH on November 29, 1935, the son of Marion and John Bassett. He and his wife Carole owned and operated Wesley F. Bassett Trucking in So. SF, CA for over 35 years. He was the Owner Operators' biggest advocate. He loved trucking and was an avid automobile fan.
He is survived by his wife Carole; two sons Jimmy Bassett of France & Wesley Bassett Jr., of San Bruno; three daughters Marianne Vitry of France, Delaina Whetstone of So. San Francisco, Eelaina Cruz of Daly City; two step-children Toby Shelly of Hayward and Nadine Petel of San Bruno; two brothers John Bassett of Grafton, NH and Russell Bassett-Stanley of Spokane, WA; one sister Marion Cushing of NH; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at Garden Chapel, 885 El Camino Real, So. SF. Committal Woodlawn Memorial Park.
