Judith Ann Bass, 87 of Newport, Michigan died at home, September 14, 2022 at 9:03am
Born on April 1, 1935 in St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of Theodore and Alberta Jewell (Duke) Bass. She came to Michigan with her parents and brother James Theodore Bass in 1950.Graduated from Flat Rock High School in 1953. She married Frank Hillard Harris on May 28, 1955.
Judy attended Monroe County Community College. At one time she worked as an agent in the Real Estate office of Downriver Realty in Flat Rock, was Administrative Assistant for the Branch Manager of the Department of Social Security office in Monroe. She worked several years at the Monroe County Library, Ellis Branch. She was a volunteer for project Read, and the We Care and Miss Heart Pageant of Monroe.
Surviving are her three children, Robyn Patricia Harris of Monroe, Robert Patrick (Marilyn) Harris of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Rebecca Lynne (Tim) Sutherland of Monroe. Seven Grandchildren; Nathan and Nick Russell, Kyle and Carly Harris and Timmy, Ted and Hillary Sutherland. Three Great-grandchildren; Alexis Russell, Emma and Luke Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Theodore and former husband Hillard Harris.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 1pm to 4pm in the Bobcean Funeral Home in Flat Rock, Michigan, where the service will be at 3:30pm
