Funeral services for Geneva Inez Maza Bass of St. Joseph, LA. will be held 2pm Friday, November 3, 2023, in the chapel of Young's Community Funeral Home in Winnsboro, with Bro. Kelly Clark and Bro. Ricky Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 5pm ? 7pm at Young's Community Funeral Home.
Geneva was born May 20, 1938, in Newellton, LA and passed from this life at her home in St. Joseph, on October 31, 2023, LA at the age of 85.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Simon and Zenda Maza; husband, Clifton "Pete: Bass; siblings, Omeara Tuggle, Simon Maza Jr., Gay Maza, Wesy LeFay Maza and Ellina Maza; granddaughter, Sarah Marie (Harrison) Dupont
Survivors include her children, Nita Inez Moore and husband Mike, James Clifton Bass, Jr., Remona Gail Bass, Karen Marie Harrison and husband Chris, Royce Allen Bass and wife Alice; grandchildren, Douglas Shannon Harrison and wife Melissa, Jamie M. Vandenkooy and husband Greg, Susie C. Bass, Timothy S. Harrison, Anna R. Sanchez and husband Saul; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Leon Maza and wife Kay, Mildred Garrow, Jerry Maza and Ray Maza. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Arceneaux, Chris Bass, Erick Armstrong, Steve Miller, Larry Perkins and Kylie Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Arceneaux and Billy Arceneaux.
