Kenneth Bass: Hillsboro man dies in industrial accident
By Amanda Becker
A 30-year-old Industrial Park employee was crushed by a piece of equipment last week.
Friday, Sept. 14, the Mauston Police and Mauston Area
Ambulance was dispatched to Brunner Manufacturing for an industrial accident at approximately 1:30 p.m.
According to police documents, upon arrival, they found company employees performing CPR on Kenneth Bass, 30, Hillsboro. The efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Juneau County Coroner Howard Fischer.
After Fischer and the Mauston police investigated the accident, it was determined that a support gave way when Bass was assisting in moving a heavy piece of equipment, and crushed him against the wall. According to Fischer, Bass died from head and chest trauma.
