Patricia Ann ?Patsy? Bass, born on June 27, 1953, passed away on September 25, 2026. A loving mother, devoted Mema cherished sister, and friend to many, Patsy leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and countless memories.
Known affectionately as Patsy, Patricia was a non-judgmental person who loved everyone. She was always willing to lend a listening ear, offer a helping hand, or simply be there when someone needed her. If there was a task that needed to be done, Patsy was always ready to help. Her caring heart and willingness to give of herself touched the lives of countless people.
Patsy treasured her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she lovingly called her grandbabies. She was a loving Memaw and cherished every moment she spent with them. She often wished she could have had grandbabies first because of the special joy they brought into her life. She loved watching the children play softball and baseball and was always proud to cheer them on.
In her quiet moments, Patsy enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas and was a proud Elvis fan. She?? loved being by the river and, most of all, loved simply being wherever her friends and family were. To Patsy, the best moments in life were those spent surrounded by the people she loved. She had a way of making people feel comfortable, accepted, and cared for, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Maynard and Maude Maynard, and her beloved daughter, Paige Bass.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Brent Bass, and grandson, Dawson Bass; her daughter, Haley Bates (Frankie), and grandchildren, Jaden Bates, Drake Bates, Madison Day, and McKinleigh Stripling; her sister, Florine Meadows; as well as many cherished friends, chosen family members, and extended family who loved her dearly.
Though Patsy is no longer here to lend a helping hand, listen to a story, cheer from the sidelines, or enjoy time by the river, the love she gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her memory will live on through her family, her grandbabies, and the many lives she touched along the way.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Gray Memorial Chapel, located at 4378 Gray Highway, Gray, Georgia 31032. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm. Rev. Tommy Freeman will officiate.
Gray Memorial Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the care of the Bass Family.
