Dannie Edward Bass, 55, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, April 1,2008, at the Winchester Medical Center.
Born December 18, 1952 in Hagerstown, MD, he is the son of Mabel May Giffin Bass, of Martinsburg, and the late Earnest W. Bass.
He was a mechanic retired from Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Mr. Bass had previously worked for Schmidt's Bakery and for his brother, Kevin Bass at Bear's Repair.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Schultz Bass; one daughter, Mary Jo L. Bass, of Martinsburg; five brothers, Eugene W. and Kevin "Bear" E. Bass, both of Martinsburg, Curtis W. Bass, of Bunker Hill, Keith H. and Douglas S. Bass, both of Martinsburg; two sisters, Patricia Bass and Robin Blank, both of Martinsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Brown Funeral Home with Rev. John Frattarola officiating. Interment will be held at Sample's Manor Cemetery in Dargon, MD.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
