Bruce Michael Bassett
BASSETT, MR. BRUCE MICHAEL Muskegon. Mr. Bruce Bassett, age 59, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2004 at a local care facility. Bruce was born September 2, 1945 in Muskegon to Clayton and Gertrude (Boll) Bassett. He was a 1963 graduate of Lansing Sexton High School and had an Associate Degree from Lansing Community College in auto mechanics. Mr. Bassett had been employed at the East Lansing Michigan Post Office in maintenance. He also served proudly as a Vietnam Veteran. Bruce was an avid photographer and enjoyed companionship with his 3 cats. He is survived by 2 brothers, David (Georgia) Bassett of Coral Springs, Florida, Thomas (Charlene) Bassett of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; 1 ssiter, Diane (Frank) Farmer of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and his beloved companion, Mary Murphy of Muskegon. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICE: Sunday, October 24, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. from the Central United Methodist Chapel with Rev. Jan Johnson officiating. VISITATION: 1 hour prior to the service. INTERMENT: Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS: Hospice of Muskegon Oceana.
