Louise Marie Bessette Bride of Richard Bacon
Rev. L. George Clement officiated Saturday morning at the wedding of Miss Louise Claire Bessette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Bessette of 620 Elm St., West Springfield, and Richard Allen Bacon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard R. Bacon of 51 Thompson St., East Longmeadow. The double-ring ceremony was performed at 10 in St. Louis Church, West Springfield.
A white linen dress of street length was chosen by the bride for her wedding. A crocheted lace coat and a double-tiered shoulder-length veil secured to a satin pillbox completed her ensemble. She carried white roses and stephanotis in colonial bouquet.
Miss Sue Ellen Roy was the bride’s maid of honor and only attendant. She was attired in a street-length dress of yellow lace and carried a colonial bouquet of yellow flowers.
Norman Lacroix served as best man while Paul D. Bessette, the brother of the bride, ushered.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the nuptial service. Miss Barbara Ann Bacon, the bridegroom’s sister, was in charge of the guest book.
After Aug. 27, the couple will reside at Vernon Trailer Park, Kelly Rd., Vernon Conn., upon returning from a wedding trip to Hampton Beach, N.H.
The bride attended Holyoke Community College and is employed by New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. as a long distance operator.
The bridegroom is employed as an inspector by Pratt and Whitney Division of United Aircraft Corp., East Hartford, Conn.
