Peter C. Bessette
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - Peter C. Bessette, 65, of Plaid Place died Monday, February 6, 2006 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Leo P. and Marietta M. Amyot Bessette. He was educated in Waterford schools and was a 1959 graduate of Catholic Central High School. Peter had been employed for 34 years at the Watervliet Arsenal and retired 11 years ago. More recently he volunteered his time teaching computer science at the Shenendehowa Senior Center. He was an avid bowler and had achieved a 300 game. He also was a veteran of the N.Y. National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Barbara A. Roy Bessette; his children, Nicole A. Kuftiak and her husband Robert of Pomona and Christopher P. Bessette of Queens. Also his siblings, Judy Stidnick and her husband Ron of Clifton Park, Susan Sullivan and her husband Roger of Waterford and Tom Bessette and his wife Kim of Delmar. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Danielle Kuftiak; two uncles; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday at 11:15 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rt. 32), Waterford and 12 noon at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Clifton Park. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation in care of the funeral home office.
