Wed in Friday Ceremonies
Rivest-Bessette
St. Rose de Lima Church, Chicopee, was the setting Friday for the wedding of Miss Judith Ann Rivest and Wayne Joseph Bessette. The Rev. Phillip Rioux performed the ceremony, with Miss Diane M. Rivest attending her sister as maid of honor and John Linzi serving the bridegroom as best man.
Mrs. Bessette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rene J. Rivest of 898 McKinstry Ave., Chicopee, is a nurse’s assistant in the rehabilitation unit of Mercy Hospital.
Her husband is serving with the U.S. Navy, stationed at Gulfport, Miss., where they will reside. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Bessette of 84 Whittlesey Ave., Chicopee.

Judith and Wayne Bessette, of Britton Street, Chicopee, are the proud parents of a son, Daniel James, born Jan. 7 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton.
Renee Rivest is maternal grandmother and paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bessette, all of Chicopeel.
Rhea Bessette of Holyoke is paternal great-grandmother, and Alda Parent of Chicopee is maternal great-grandmother.
Daniel has a sister, Lauren Grace.
