William Michael Bessette
CASCO - William (Billy) Bessette died on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at his home in Casco. He was the son of the late Gerald Bessette of Willimansett, Mass., and the late Eileen Malone of Wayne, N.J. He graduated from Chicopee (Mass.) High School and also graduated from Southern Maine Technical College.
Billy serviced his country in the Marine Corps for 10 years, leaving with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He also worked as a Deputy for over 25 years at the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and also Police Security for 24 years at the Freyburg Fair. Billy also served as a Notary Public. Billy received many certificates of appointments and recognition over the years during his service to this country and his community.
Billy is survived by his wife Becky, who he adored and loved over the past 25 years, and their children. Billy is survived by son Gerard Bessette and daughter Christine Montessori of South Portland; and grandchildren Ryan Bessette, William Michael Bessette II, Dylan Montessori and Heidi Monessori. Billy also is survived by his brother Gary Bessette of Chicopee, Mass., and his sisters Joanne Reynolds of Augusta, Mary LePine of Wayne, N.J., and Patty Jean Hanecak of Beltchertown, Mass.
The Bessette family would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this time of loss. Visiting hours will be held 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the North Windham Union Church located on Route 302 in Windham, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday.
