George H. Bass Dies
CHAUMONT ? George H. Bass, 66, operator of a machine shop, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon at his home in Brewerton.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Clark-Memorial funeral home, with Rev. Edwin K. Eskra, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Spring burial will be in St. Lawrence cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 p.m.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Phillips Bass; and three brothers, Victor, San Francisco, Calif., Roy, Nevada, and George a. California.
Mr. Bass was born in Dexter, Jan. 8, 1901, a son of Fred and Flora Reeves Bass. He married Grace Phillips of St. Lawrence, Oct. 10, 1920, in Cape Vincent. The couple lived in St. Lawrence, moving to Brewerton 20 years ago.
