Funeral services will be held for Mr. Bass on Thursday, April 8, 1976, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Gridley of the First Baptist Church will officiate, interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mr. Bass was 51 years of age, born December 14, 1924 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Arthur and Edna Miner Bass. He was united in marriage to the former Josephine Blinstrub on December 3, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Josephine; two Sons and Daughter-in- Laws, James D. and (Francine) Bass of Chicago and Richard and (Sandra) Bass of Dixon; Three Daughters and Two Sort-in- Laws, Nancy and (Duane) Westover, Dixon; Kathleen and (Steve) Welhelm, La Moille; and Carolyn Boerma, West Brooklyn. Seven Grandchildren, Jeanette, James, Cynthia and Robert Bass of Chicago; Steven and Michael Bass of Dixon; Melissa Boerma of West Brooklyn. Three Brothers and Two Sister-in-laws; Arthur Eugene Bass; Henry and (Betty Jean) Bass; Billy and (Beulah Mae) Bass; All of Atlanta, Georgia ; Six Sisters and Brother-in- Laws; Bobbie and (Hoppy) Edwards of Atlanta, Georgia; Lottie and (Henry) Figurski; Helen and (Raymond) Cimoch; Irene and (John) Appelhans; Elizabeth and (Richard) Godacz; Eleanor and (Arthur) Cimoch , all of Chicago.
