Virginia Funerals
William E. Bassett
Smithfield, July 26.-William Edward Bassett, well-known farmer, died at his home in Carrollton today after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at the grave in Old St. Luke?s Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight County, Thursday afternoon at 3 o?clock.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hattie Bassett, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Bassett; two sons, Lowell and Nelson; two daughters, Mrs. Rob Rollins and Mrs. John Weichel, of Isle of Wight County; five brothers, L.E. Bassett, of Franklin; T.S. Bassett of Smithfield; F.L. Bassett, of Newport News, J.T. Bassett, of Newport News, and J.H. Bassett, of Norfolk.
