Her husband, a Civil War veteran, has been dead eleven years. She was a native of Smith Falls, Ontario. She had been a resident of Adams for many years. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic church and the Woman's Relief Corps of Adams. Surviving are a son, Floyd H. Bassett, 928 Boyd Street, Watertown; four sisters, Mrs. John Brewer of Adams; Mrs. Delia Duell, Mrs. Ellen Ouderkirk and Mrs. Hattie Culver, all of Greeley, Col., one brother, John Foley of Utica, and a granddaughter, Miss Clara Bassett, Watertown.
