  Notes	The Houston Chronicle, 2 Mar 2005 W.R. "Jack" Bassett W.R. "Jack" Bassett entered into rest on February 28, 2005 in Houston at the age of 78. He was born on December 3, 1926 in Fort Madison, Iowa; the only child to the union of the late Elzie & Mona Bassett. Jack worked at Thornhill-Carver Industries for 35 years until his retirement. Mr. Bassett leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Mary; children, Barbara Ann Bassett, Jackie Lynn Brumfield & husband Rick and William R. Bassett, II & wife janie; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at San Jacinto Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial and military honors will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Cemetery.
