Mrs. Eva E. Bessette
Mrs. Eva E. Bessette, age 74, died Friday morning in the Northwestern Medical Center. She was born in Cambridge, August 30, 1913, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Prouix) Gaudette.
She married Arnold ?Bud? Bessette June 28, 1937, and they would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this June. Eva had been employed at the H.P. Hood Co. and at George Yett Bag Co. She will be remembered as an avid bingo player. She was a member of Holy Angels Church.
Her survivors include her husband Arnold ?Bud? Bessette of Brainerd Street, her children and their spouses; Joan and Leonard Tombley, of St. Albans; Peter and Diane Bessette of Georgia and William and Susan Bresette of St. Albans; six grandchildren; Mrs. Douglas (Julie) Pratt, Tomothy Trombley and Shawn Bessette of St. Albans; Heather Bessette of Georgia; Mary-Beth Bressette, and Chrisopher Bressette both of St. Albans, two great-grandchildren Adam Pratt and Andrew Pratt of St. Albans, a sister, Noelle Wagner of St. Albans, three brothers; Louis Gaudette of St. Albans; Ernst Gaudette and Arthur Gaudette both of Fairfax, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son John Bessette and several brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 St. Main St. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in the family lot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Brady & Levesqu Funeral Home.
