Linda Susan (Schmitt) Albright, 67, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away at Gateway Hospital Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was born to the late Clarence and Margaret (Bassett) Schmitt on January 6, 1950 in LaPorte, Indiana.
She was a member of Newburgh United Methodist Church. Linda previously worked for Woods Drugs where she met her husband Ned, at Sears, National City Bank, Whirlpool Tech Care, owned a home daycare, and more recently worked at several childcare facilities. She loved to care for children as well as her family. Linda enjoyed spending time gardening and tending to her flowers. Over her life she loved the company of her many pets. During the past few years she enjoyed traveling and cruising with her husband and close friends, John and Donna Merkley. This past weekend Linda was able to spend time with her husband, children and grandchildren at her granddaughter's wedding.
Linda was preceded in death by her brother, William Schmitt.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ned; her children, Melissa Hartman (Kevin), Mark Albright (Eva), and Danielle Lopez (Alec); grandchildren, Katelynne Hartman (Elise), Taylor Moon (Spencer), Logan Hartman, Brenden Albright; brother-in-law, Charles A. Albright (Judy) and their children.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Chris Nunley with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 5-7 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
