Mrs. Phyllis A. Bessette, age 77, died Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Milton, October 25, 1936, daughter of the late Wesley and Kathrine (Raymo) Larochelle. October 24, 1953, she married Mr. Donald Bessette. Phyllis worked as a machine operator for the Union Carbide Corporation for over 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards (especially 500), but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald, their daughters, Cleone Pigeon and her husband Roger of Enosburgh, Cheryl Pellerin and her husband Max of West Swanton, and Donna Blouin and her husband Dick of Franklin, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her sisters, Shirley Butler, Norma L?Esperance and her husband Bill, Doris Driver and her husband Jim, Marjorie Sanders, and Nancy Dussault and her husband Roger all of St. Albans. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Richard Larochelle.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 26, 2014, at 5:00 PM, in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel. Her family will receive condolences at the funeral home from 3 to 5 PM. Interment will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Bessette family lot in St. Luke?s Cemetery in Fairfax. Memorials in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 300 Cornerstone Drive, Suite 128, Williston, VT 05495.
