Roger Bessette It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Roger Arthur Bessette, which occurred at Royal University Hospital on January 14, 2010. The Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel, 311-3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon. Interment will be held right after in the Garden of the Last Supper, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Roger is lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Judy; mother, Therese (Terry) Bessette; daughters, Amanda Bessette, Rena Bessette (Rob); son, Cory Bessette (Cecile); step-son, Troy (Rhonda) Stimpson; five grandchildren; brother, Ray (Mary) Bessette; sister, Denise (Wayne) Morley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Roger was predeceased by his father, Arthur Bessette (1985) and sister, Val Hilton (2006). Roger was born November 9, 1954 at Humboldt Hospital, lived in St. Brieux and Lake Lenore before the family moved to Saskatoon in 1963 where he attended school. Roger had been a Journeyman Electrician for over 30 years and was a proud member of the IBEW Local 529. He was a hard-working, dedicated electrician and took extreme pride in each job he did. He worked at different job sites all over Saskatchewan and made many friends along the way. Roger was a loving husband, father, son and grandfather and when called upon would give help to anyone who asked. "Rooster" as he is fondly remembered by his family will never be forgotten, loved and thought of each day. As the eagle he trained when he was a young child so shall it be the eagles wings that will fly him home peacefully to the heavens. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
