SERVICES ARE RESCHEDULED A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Roger Lee Bass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Oberlin, with Father Jerish George officiating. Private burial services will be held at a later date in Manuel Cemetery, Soileau, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oberlin. Mr. Bass, 69, of Oberlin, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in his residence. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Mary Bass. Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include two daughters, Carmen Perkins, and her husband, Steve, of Oberlin, and Tonia Jordan, of DeRidder; one brother, Roland Bass, of Oberlin; one sister, Patricia Bass, of Eunice; five grandchildren, Shira Brown, Logan Brown, Hanna Brown, Haley Perkins and Amber Perkins; four great grandchildren, Landen, Liam, Bria and Charlie. A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oberlin on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. until time of departure for the church.
