Mary Ella (Bass) Brooks
Mary Brooks, 71, of Bedford, TX formerly of Wilmot, AR passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of the Mid-Cities in Bedford, TX. She is a lifelong resident of Wilmot, a Retired Elementary School Teacher, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by one daughter: Shirley Brooks (May 8, 2000); her parents William ?Jack? Lindsey and Viola McDoo-Bass; two brothers: John William and William Lindsey Bass; three sisters: Annie Pearl Clock, Helen Marie Brown, and Emma Jean Bass. Mary Ella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed family and friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Lacy Bass; two sons: William Lewis, wife Shonda of Bonita, LA; Steven Brooks, wife Keisha of North Richland Hill, TX; one daughter: Willie Ann Jenkins, husband Clavin of Shreveport, LA; three brothers: Jimmy Ray Bass of Mount Lebanon, LA; L.Z. Bass, wife Sandra of Little Rock, AR; Albert ?A.B.? Bass of Wilmot, AR; twelve grandchildren, and a host of relatives, friends, and love ones.
Funeral Services are 10:30AM Saturday, February 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Darren McDoo, Randall Shelton, Cleveland Parker, Jimmy Ray Bass Jr., Anthony Rolf, and Alvin Jordan. Burial in St. Martha Cemetery.
Visitation Friday, February 12, 2016 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
