Graveside funeral services will be held at Geneva City Cemetery Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lynn McManious officiating, according to Talbotton Funeral Home, Talbotton, Ga. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Bassett was born November 1, 1939 son of Roy Owens Bassett Sr. and Kattie Bell Jones. He was a retired supervisor at Golden Foundry. He was preceded in death death by his son Bobby Ray Bassett Jr. Survivors include son Tyler Bassett (Gwen) of Talbotton, Ga.; sisters Mazell Ligon of Box Springs, Ga., Thelma Clark of Thomaston, Ga., Lois Johnson of South Carolina and Lucy Mae Dowling of Waycross, Ga.; brother Roy Bassett Jr. of Buena Vista, Ga.; grandchildren, Joshua Tyler Bassett and Ashley Shipp; and stepson, Andy Bassett.
