She was born June 28, 1905, in Ulman, a daughter of Clyde and Mary Bain Bass. She was married to John Alexander, who died Jan. 22, 1981. She was married to Ray Carlson, who died Oct. 4, 1991. A homemaker, she was a member of First Christian Church, Eldon. She was a member of the Community Bible Study in North Carolina. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Kansas City, Kan., for 45 years. Survivors include: two daughters, Bonnie Wolf, Pinehurst, and Jennifer Shirley Lyons, Harrison, Maine; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services were in Eldon City Cemetery. The Rev. Walter D. Simpson officiated.
