Alvin Oscar Bass, 78, of 6303 Pawnee Street, North Little Rock, died Tuesday.
Mr. Bass was a member of First United Methodist Church, was secretary of Wills Bible Class and was a former member of the Administrative Board. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Fortner Bass of North Little Rock; two sons, Al Bass Jr. of North Little Rock and Thomas V. Bass of Little Rock; a daughter, Mrs. Rob Peterson of North Little Rock; two brothers, Elmer Bass of Clinton and Donaghey H. Bass of North Little Rock; two sisters, Mrs. R.R. Harrell and Mrs. Jack Guenter, both of Mayflower; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church by Reverend Earl B. Carter. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Cemetery by Owens Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be W.W. Yancey, George Tilly, A.G. Thompson, Bill Akins, Ernest Brooks, Kenneth Milhoan and Frank Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the H.P. Wells Bible Class and his nephews.
