Mrs. Bennie Lynn Stewart Bass, 90
Mrs. Bennie Lynn Stewart Bass, 90, of 555 N. Jefferson Street, Lyons, died Wednesday, September 5, 2001, at her residence after a brief illness. Mrs. Bass was a native of Tattnall County, residing in Toombs County for most of her life. She was retired from Lyons Manufacturing, a homemaker and was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert E. Stewart in 1948, Edgar L. Bass in 1983 and a son, Wilbur R. Stewart in 1995.
Mrs. Bass is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Stewart McDaniel of N. Augusta, SC and Mary Alice Stewart Wilder of Vidalis; two sons, Ralph E. Steawrt of Reidsville and Edward Stewart of Cumming, GA; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nices and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalis with Dr. Max Hill and Chaplain Andy Miles officiating. Interement was in the Lyons City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were, Roy Stewaert, Lloyd Stewart, David Stewart, Ronnie Holland, Lavanda Lynn, and Wendell Lynn. Honorary pallbearers were, Monroe Stewart, Gene Lynn, Gordon Holland, Merriell Holland, Norris Lane, and Buck Hunter.
