Dorothy Monast
Dorothy Monast, 94, wife of the late Charles R. Monast, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2017 at Branford Hills Health Care Center. Dorothy was born in Berlin, Wisconsin to the late William and Harriet (Bassett) Stater. Dorothy was a resident of Branford and attended St. Therese Church where she was active in her parish for many years. Dorothy thoroughly enjoyed her time with her family. Dorothy is survived by her four children; Patricia and the late Larry Augur of Northford, Kathleen and Robert Croke of Southbury, Roger and Doris Monast of Daniel Island South Carolina, and Gerard and Gerry Monast of Guilford. Dorothy is also survived by 13 grandchildren; Ed, Colleen, Maureen, Larry, Laura, Barry, Charles, Liam, Tisha, Travis, Amy, Erin, Laura and 18 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by two grandchildren Jennifer and Brian. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 21, 2017 at 10AM at St. Therese Catholic Church, 105 Leetes Island Rd, Branford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to Cosmic Cat Veterinary Clinic, 220 East Main St, Branford.
