Mrs. Steinbach
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Wabel Steinbach, 37, of Galva, wife of Gerald Steinbach, and a former resident of Peoria and Mattoon, who died Wednesday night at Methodist hospital in Peoria, were held this afternoon in Galva. Interment was there.
Born in Henry Oct. 13, 1913, she was a daughter of Thomas and Carrie Bassett Wabel. She attended Bradley university and taught kindergarten here prior to her marriage to Mr. Steinbach Jan. 25, 1935. Mrs. Steinbach was a member of the Methodist church, Galva Women?s club, Parent Teachers association, and was secretary of the Married Folks class of the church.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Dennis, and daughter, Sharon, at home; five brothers, Charles, Leslie, and Gale Wabel, all of Peoria; Louis of Decatur, and Earl Wabel, Henry; a sister, Mrs. Florence Cluass of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and her father.
